Program Objectives

Failure of polar body extrusion – chromosomes in red, tubulin in green
The main goal of the ART of the Future project is to connect basic research in assisted reproduction with the practice of reproductive clinics.
The project aims to develop new methods for selecting the highest-quality embryos using AI, preparing germ cells in vitro, clarifying the causes of embryonic developmental disorders not only in animal models, and evaluating the long-term effects of ART on individual health. It also focuses on a comprehensive analysis of the ethical and legal aspects of reproductive technologies and research involving human germ cells and embryos. Our ambition is to provide expert input for future legislative frameworks at both national and European levels.
Objectives:
- Integrate basic and clinical research with clinical practice in reproduction
- Investigate the causes of embryo developmental failure and strategies for its prevention
- Develop non-invasive diagnostic tools for assessing embryo quality
- Create procedures for in vitro germ cell preparation and repair of damaged germ cells
- Analyze and evaluate the normative framework addressing legal and ethical aspects of ART and research using human germ cells and embryos, and propose potential reforms
